Louisville travels to Clemson for a key ACC Atlantic contest on Saturday. Clemson is coming off back-to-back impressive home wins against North Carolina and North Carolina State, and looks like a much-improved team ever since quarterback Deshaun Watson has taken over the starting quarterback job.
Bobby Petrino and Louisville have flown under the radar since they lost at Virginia earlier this year, but the Cardinals do sit at 5-1 and control their own destiny in the ACC. Louisville is coming off of a dominating 28-6 victory over Syracuse.

Prediction: Since Clemson handed the keys to Deshaun Watson, he has brought new energy to the Tigers. He threw for six touchdowns against North Carolina and accounted for four more against North Carolina State. But the most impressive statistic of Clemson’s performance against the Wolfpack came on the defensive side of the ball. The Tigers held North Carolina State to 154 yards of offense, including just 35 passing yards.
Louisville’s offense is getting healthy. Quarterback Will Gardner hasn’t played the last two weeks but it looks like he will be good to go on Saturday. Star wide receiver DeVante Parker is expected to make his season debut. Parker caught 12 touchdowns last season and tallied 10 in 2012.
The return of both Gardner and Parker will be key, but it might not be enough for the Cardinals to prevail. We'll take Clemson to win, but Louisville to cover.
