Louisville vs. Virginia – Game Time, TV Schedule, Line, Preview, Prediction

Believe it or not, Louisville vs. Virginia is now a league game, since the Cardinals joined the ACC this past summer. The newcomer, ranked 21st in the nation according to the Associated Press, is looking to move to 2-0 in the Atlantic division. The Cavaliers, who almost knocked off UCLA in week one, come in riding the high of a nice win over Richmond.

Fans of both schools will have to catch the game on ESPN3 - it won't be nationally televised. Regardless, Scott Stadium should be rocking.

Prediction: This is one of the most difficult games to predict this week. Virginia, which didn't win a league game last season, looks much improved from its 2013 version. That being said, the Cavs don't seem to have settled on a quarterback - Greyson Lambert and Matt Johns have both been featured quite heavily through the first two weeks of the season.

Louisville, on the other hand, has a much more stable situation at the quarterback position - sophomore Will Gardner has played serviceable in his first two starts since taking over for Teddy Bridgewater. The Cardinals' defense has also looked stout, giving up just 13 points to Miami (FL) and holding Murray State in check until the game was out of reach.

A 6.5 point line is tough here - the oddsmakers want you to make a decision on whether Louisville is going to win by a touchdown or more. We'll say they do - not because we don't believe that Virginia is improving, but more because the Cardinals seem to be playing well on both sides of the ball.
