Michigan Replaces Louisville In Top 5 For 4-Star PG Quentin Goodin

Four-star point guard Quentin Goodin of Campbellsville, KY has made a significant change in his top five schools. The Louisville Cardinals, the favorite team of his father Chris, are out, and are being replaced by the Michigan Wolverines.

Bowling Green Daily News has more from the elder Goodin about Louisville being left out of this recruitment.

"We've been in and out about our feelings about Louisville for a long time," Chris Goodin said. "Everybody automatically assumed he was going to go there because, openly, I'm a fan. I've been a fan of Louisville basketball since I was a young kid. I hadn't hid that from anyone, so everyone expected him to just go to Louisville for that reason. But the thing is, like I said before, you've got to go where you're wanted and needed, and we've based our school decisions on that."

Michigan recently lost a commitment from five-star guard Tyus Battle, which could help explain their emergence in the Goodin sweepstakes. Goodin expects to make his decision around the beginning of the high school basketball season this winter.
