Rick Pitino Believes That UVA's Tony Bennett May Be The Nation's Best Coach

After Duke's loss to N.C. State, Virginia is now the top rated team in the ACC, and the No. 2 team in the nation behind Kentucky. The Cavaliers are also now receiving votes as the top team in the country. Rick Pitino and his Louisville Cardinals travel to Charlottesville on February 7, and he believes that the man he will be coaching against may be the best in all of college basketball.

In 2008, the year before Bennett left Washington State for Virginia, the Cavaliers went 10-18. After two middling seasons in 2009 and 2010, Bennett has posted records of 22-10, 23-12, and 30-7. Last season, the team clinched a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament, and have opened this season 15-0. Pitino may be on to something.
