Rick Pitino is not happy with the ACC after the league released its basketball schedule today.
The league has come under fire from a number of coaches for quick turnarounds and back-to-back road trips in short stretches. Louisville's conference slate certainly has a few of those, and Pitino let his thoughts be known after the official schedule was released this afternoon.
The Cardinals head coach released a statement through Louisville sports information director Kenny Klein. He does not mince words about how things shook out.
Here is the full Louisville schedule. The Cardinals have two separate Saturday-Monday turnarounds, which often draw ire from the league's coaches.
Pitino's gripes aside, Louisville fans should be pretty excited about the teams coming to the KFC Yum! Center this winter. The Cardinals host Purdue, archrival Kentucky, Virginia, Pitt, Duke, Syracuse, and Notre Dame this season. That's a really impressive group of opponents. Season ticket holders are getting their money's worth in 2016-17.
