Rick Pitino has been keeping busy since being let go by Louisville nearly a year ago today. He has a book out, has been on various radio shows recently and recently joined Twitter.

Though it says Pitino's account has been active since July, he hadn't tweeted until this afternoon. When he did, he got things started in strong fashion.

Not only did Pitino take a subtle jab at John Calipari in his Twitter bio, his first (and so far only) tweet is already going viral.

"For years I have stayed away from Twitter because there was very little positivity. I will stay completely away from cynicism and destructive words. I hope to bring a spirit of optimism, which is so needed today," Pitino wrote.

Now, no one can deny Twitter can be really toxic and destructive. Still, given everything we know about Pitino, this tweet is pretty hilarious.

As you can imagine, the responses to this are fantastic. We recommend looking through them yourself.

Pitino's mentions in general are going to be a war zone. Hope he has the block button handy, or is just not planning on spending that much time on social media.

This should be fun to watch.
