Russ Smith, Now Anthony Davis' Teammate In New Orleans, Jokes About How Many Shots Of His Kentucky Big Man Blocked

Anthony Davis and Russ Smith played collegiately at schools that hate each other--Kentucky and Louisville, respectively--but the former NCAA stars are now teammates in the NBA.

Smith, the former Louisville guard picked in the second round of the 2014 NBA Draft by the Pelicans, joins Davis, the former Kentucky big man selected No. 1 overall in 2012, in New Orleans.

Today, Smith is doing a Q&A on the Pelicans' Twitter account,

">@PelicansNBA. Smith was asked about how he fared playing against Davis while at Louisville.

That number is a bit of an exaggeration. Smith and Davis played each other twice during the 2011-12 campaign--once in the regular season and again in the Final Four, both Kentucky wins--and Davis totaled 11 blocks in the two contests.

The two players appear to be quite friendly with each other now, though.

More entertaining to watch: Davis blocking shots, or Smith jacking up 3s? Luckily for Pelicans' fans, they'll get to watch both next season.
