Plenty of famous basketball players and athletes are expected to be in attendance for the NCAA Tournament. But one celebrity who made an appearance is there for quite a different reason.

Prior to the start of the Louisville-Minnesota matchup in the First Round, the Associated Press caught a picture of Emmy and Golden Globe winning comedian Bill Murray in attendance. Per AP reporter Luke Meredith, Murray's son, Luke, is an assistant for the Cardinals.

Luke Murray has spent the last few years working under Louisville head coach Chris Mack. He was one of several coaches who followed Mack from Xavier to the ACC titans this past season.

Naturally, one of the stars of the movie Caddyshack couldn't be seen out in public without a golf hat:

While not known for his sports acumen, Bill Murray has shared his wisdom in the past. Back in 2015, he was a guest picker on ESPN's College GameDay and famously tackled Lee Corso after he selected Florida State to beat Clemson.

The Cardinals are favored against the Minnesota Golden Gophers, so there's a good chance that we'll see plenty more Bill Murray cameos throughout the NCAA Tournament.

The game is currently being played on CBS.
