Video: Louisville Baseball Coach Dan McDonnell Gets Emotional After Team Advances To College World Series

Louisville baseball advanced to its third College World Series in school history last night with a 7-4 win over Kennesaw State in the Louisville Super Regional. Cardinals head coach Dan McDonnell got emotional during his postgame press conference, as he began crying while he said he doesn't want the credit for this win, but rather, he would rather people credit his coaches, assistants and players. He also credited his players for taking him to the College World Series, and not vice versa.

You always hear coaches say the players deserve the credit for the team's success, but rarely are they as honest and emotional as McDonnell was on Saturday. The Cardinals will have their first CWS game next weekend against either Stanford or Vanderbilt.
