Points are coming at a premium during the first half of tonight's Miami (FL) vs. Louisville contest. Many would argue that the Cardinals should have at least six more. During the second quarter of this year's ACC season opener, Hurricanes quarterback Brad Kaaya dropped back and immediately threw the ball towards the sideline to his wideout, Stacy Coley, who couldn't come up with the catch. Louisville's Keith Kelsey, believing the pass was actually thrown backwards, picked up the ball and ran it to the other end zone. It turns out that he was right.
But, the play had been blown dead and ruled an incomplete pass. After a review, possession was awarded to Louisville. By rule, the Cardinals only got the ball from the spot of the recovery.
It's a tough call for sure, but UL has seemed to recover well. The Cardinals lead at halftime, 14-10.
