What Seed Did Louisville Get In The 2014 NCAA Tournament?

Seed: For the upcoming 2014 NCAA Tournament, the Louisville Cardinals were given a 4-seed in the Midwest-region. They are coached by Rick Pitino and hail from the AAC.

You can view the entire 2014 NCAA Tournament field here in our official bracket.

Where: They will open play against Manhattan in Orlando on Thursday.

Why: Louisville finished with a 15-3 record in AAC play, splitting the regular season conference title with Cincinnati. They also won the AAC conference tournament, knocking off UConn in the title game. The Cardinals scored notable wins over SMU (twice), UConn (three times) and Cincinnati.

Ceiling: Louisville is the reigning national champion and certainly has the talent to repeat. While the Cardinals don't have as impressive a resume as some of the other top seeds, they've been hot of late and are certainly a threat to reach the Final Four, yet again. Nobody is going to want to play Rick Pitino's squad.
