Former Miami football players and teammates of Cortez Kennedy have been tweeting tributes to the defensive tackle who passed away on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, it was announced that former Miami Hurricane and Seattle Seahawk Cortez Kennedy passed away due to natural causes at his home in Orlando, Fl. He was just 48. The 1992 Defensive Player of the Year and eight-time Pro Bowler was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2012 after a prolific NFL career that spanned 10 years.
Kennedy was selected No. 3 overall in the 1990 NFL Draft after a dominant stint as a DT for the Hurricanes. And on Twitter today, former Miami players paid tribute to one of the best to ever play the game.

Kennedy was inducted into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.
