Mark Richt is attempting to get the Miami program out of the rut it hit over the last decade, and based on his first Junior Day event, it seems like he's doing a good job so far. One high school coach spoke to CanesInSight.com's Peter Ariz about the event, and thinks Richt's Junior Day is a big upgrade from the event run by previous head coach Al Golden.

Golden had some recruiting success, but Miami fans and alumniwant to see the program keep more local talent home. A big junior day is a good way to do that, and anything that shows improvement over the Golden era should be welcome news for 'Canes fans.
