On Saturday afternoon, the Miami Hurricanes hosted the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets for an ACC showdown.

Before the game, Miami head coach Manny Diaz revealed the team would be without a few players due to injury. Heading into the game shorthanded, the hurricanes faithful suffered a scare when running back DeeJay Dallas went down with an injury in the first quarter.

Dallas went down and immediately pointed at his knee as trainers came out to look at him.

He eventually limped off to the sideline, but wasn't able to put much pressure on the leg.

It's not a good sign for the Hurricanes, who need a win over Georgia Tech this afternoon. Miami looked like a legitimate contender when it pushed Florida in the season-opener, but hasn't been impressive since.

With an easy game against the Yellow Jackets, the Hurricanes can't take any chances. Losing a top running back won't help matters.

Trainers are icing down Dallas' knee to determine the extent of the injury.

Stay tuned for the latest.
