Miami will have a new starting quarterback this weekend. N’Kosi Perry will lead the Hurricane offense this Friday against Virginia.
The redshirt sophomore replaced Jarren Williams in last week’s loss to Virginia Tech after Williams tossed three interceptions. Perry threw for a career-high 422 yards and four touchdowns and nearly led a furious comeback.
Williams is also apparently dealing with a shoulder issue. He reportedly worked with trainers during practice on Tuesday.
Miami is listing him as “day-to-day.”

Tate Martell, who was shifted from quarterback to wide receiver this summer, reportedly did some throwing at practice on Tuesday. Martell has rushed twice for two yards this season but has yet to throw a pass.
At 2-3 overall and 0-2 in ACC play, Miami has been one of the biggest disappointments in the country thus far this season. However, a win over a top-20 Virginia squad could go a long way in turning things around.
Miami and Virginia will kick off at 8 p.m. ET Friday night on ESPN.
