The Miami Hurricanes quarterback situation has been one of the most interesting this off-season, and now it appears that a true freshman will open things up in week one, when the Hurricanes travel to new ACC rival Louisville.

Kaaya was a highly-touted recruit for the Hurricanes, but between Ryan Williams and Kansas transfer Jake Heaps on the roster, it looked like Kaaya would have to work to be the quarterback of the future. Instead, he will be thrust into the spotlight right away, after winning the job over Heaps, while Williams recovers from an ACL injury. Miami’s game against Louisville kicks off at 8 pm on Monday, September 1.
