Notre Dame In Serious Trouble At Miami, Down 27-0 At Half

The Turnover Chain has been active, and it really looks like The U might be back.

With Georgia's loss earlier today, Notre Dame looked like a very good bet to make the College Football Playoff as an at large, if it could finish 11-1.

That remains true, but the Fighting Irish now need an historic comeback against a fired up Miami team.

After a week of hype about the return of the "Catholics vs. Convicts" rivalry, the Hurricanes have pounced all over Notre Dame, and lead 27-0 at the half.

After a few three-and-outs to open play, star receiver Braxton Berrios hauled in an impressive touchdown to open scoring, and he had a phenomenal celebration after the play.

Three plays later, Miami picked off Brandon Wimbush, giving us the first look at the famous Turnover Chain of the day.

Miami has picked off Wimbush two more times, including a pick six for Trajan Bandy to give us the score that we have at the half.

College football is always good, but it is even more fun with a good Miami, and it has been a while. Before today's game, the 'Canes clinched the ACC Coastal and a trip to the conference championship. With this game, the 'Canes are halfway to putting themselves squarely in the College Football Playoff conversation.
