Miami Releases Touching Tribute Video In Memory Of JoJo Nicolas

This past Wednesday, the Miami Hurricanes community lost one of its most respected members - former defensive back JoJo Nicolas. Nicolas, who starred for the Canes from 2007-2011 before being signed by the New York Giants after the 2012 NFL draft, passed away as a result of injuries suffered in a horrifying car crash near Miami Beach. Nicolas was just 24 years old.

The school immediately issued a statement regarding the tragedy, as AD Blake James tried to put into words what Nicolas meant to the university.

"The entire University of Miami family mourns the loss of JoJo Nicolas. JoJo was a valued member of our community, our school and our football program, and his loss is devastating to everyone he touched. On behalf of the university, I send our condolences and thoughts and prayers to JoJo's family, friends and teammates. He will forever be a part of The U."

Thursday night, the program released a touching three-minute tribute video in his honor. You can view it below:
