College football fans are in for another exciting weekend full of conference games, which includes a showdown between Miami and Virginia Tech.
Both programs aren’t playing up to their standards through the first month of the season. Miami and Virginia Tech own 2-2 records heading into this matchup.
The Hurricanes are coming off their bye week, meanwhile the Hokies just suffered a 35-point loss to the Duke Blue Devils. It was such a disappointing performance for Virginia Tech that ESPN placed the program in its “Bottom 10” list.
On Thursday, Virginia Tech wide receiver Tre Turner revealed that Hendon Hooker would replace Ryan Willis as the starting quarterback.
It’s going to be interesting to see if Justin Fuente’s squad can bounce back from its abysmal loss to Duke.
Here are the details for this ACC matchup:
Game Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
Spread: Miami -14
Announcers: Mark Jones, Dusty Dvoracek, Olivia Dekker
This game will be yet another early test for Miami quarterback Jarren Williams. Although his numbers aren’t going to jump off the page, the redshirt freshman hasn’t thrown an interception this season.
Virginia Tech’s defense has allowed 28.5 points per game this season. It’s possible that Miami gets its offense back on track this weekend.
