Miami WR Ahmmon Richards Questionable For Hurricanes Opener

Ahmmon Richards might not be ready for Miami's opener.

After suffering a pulled hamstring on Saturday, it was unclear how severe the injury was and when Miami wide receiver Ahmmon Richards would be able to play again.

Today we got something of an answer.

According to head coach Mark Richt, Richards is questionable for the Hurricanes' opener on Saturday, September 2nd versus Bethune-Cookman.

Check it out:

So while it's not ideal to have Richards as questionable, it's actually not the worst news in the world. On Saturday, it was unclear how bad Richards' injury was and how many weeks he'd have to miss, but if he's already questionable to play, that's definitely good to hear.

Plus, Miami should roll over Bethune-Cookman, with or without Richards. The Hurricanes don't have a "real" matchup until week three when they take on Florida State. Hopefully Richards back and at full-speed by that point.

According to ESPN's FPI, the Hurricanes have a 99. 7 percent chance of winning their matchup versus Bethune-Cookman.
