No one flies banners to promote their coaching agendas like Miami Hurricane fans. A group of fans flew banners calling for the firing of head coach Al Golden for the better part of two seasons until it happened, and now fans are using the same method to promote the coach that they want the team to hire: former leader of 'The U' Butch Davis.

At the same time, another plane's message bashes fellow candidate Mario Cristobal, citing his sub-par head coaching record. That totally ignores the fact that he took over one of the worst programs in the sport, FIU, and turned it into a bowl team by his fourth season, winning 15 games in 2010 and 2011. Either way, it is clear that at least one segment of the fan base believes that Davis can return the school to its glory days. Davis was 51-20 as Hurricanes head coach from 1995-2000.
