Could a College Football Playoff contender go down on Friday?

The Miami Hurricanes will play for an ACC title next week against Clemson, but if they want to be part of the College Football Playoff field, they're going to need to step up their game against the Pitt Panthers on Friday.

At halftime, No. 2 Miami is trailing a 4-7 Pitt team, 10-7.

Pitt has turned the ball over twice, but the team's defense has held Miami at bay for most of the first half. The Hurricanes have gained just 108 yards thus far.

Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett scored on a six-yard keeper to give his team the lead.

Miami has been involved in a number of tight games against lesser opponents this year. They'll need to rally yet again to survive another one.
