When healthy, Miami's Duke Johnson is perhaps the ACC's most explosive running back. As a true freshman in 2012, Johnson accounted for nearly 1200 total yards and 11 touchdowns, and was on his way to eclipsing that mark last season before going down with a broken angle midway through the year against Florida State. Through eight games, he rushed for 920 yards and six touchdowns.

Johnson is recovered from his injury, and he and head coach Al Golden agree that this off-season, he's taken his game to another level. Considering what the last level of Duke Johnson looked like, that's a scary proposition for ACC defenses.

The U opens its season on the road with a huge Monday night showdown with ACC newcomer Louisville on September 1.
