Dakwa Nichols gave an update on Facebook.
NC State got the win today versus Syracuse, but it came at a cost. On one play during the first quarter, redshirt senior running back Dakwa Nichols landed awkwardly on his right leg after being taken down by his facemask. He subsequently had to be carted off the field, and an aircast was applied.
This evening, he provided fans with an update on his injury.
According to Nichols, he tore his patellar tendon in both knees, and he has surgery scheduled for tomorrow morning.
