UNC and Providence are two of the most unpredictable teams in the field, making this an extremely fun match-up. Providence came out of nowhere to win the Big East Tournament, and have two huge wins over Creighton. UNC lost to a number of middling mid-majors, but beat Louisville, Michigan State, and Kentucky, and eventually rattled off 12 straight ACC wins. The winner of this one will be very dangerous, and will play either Iowa State or N.C. Central.

Prediction: These two teams mirror each other in a lot of ways. Both teams are led by a dynamic scoring point guard—Marcus Paige for UNC, Bryce Cotton for the Friars. They each surround him with some raw-but-talented frontcourt players. LaDontae Henton, Kadeem Batts, and Tyler Harris each average over 11 points and five boards for PC, while James Michael McAdoo, Brice Johnson, and J.P. Tokoto are similar factors for UNC. Ultimately, UNC probably has a bit more talent, and should take this one home, but never count out Bryce Cotton.
