This week hasn’t been kind to the Michigan Wolverines. Not only did they lose head coach John Beilein to the NBA, but it also learned that four-star recruit Jalen Wilson will decommit from the program.
Michigan is already lacking star talent for its 2019 recruiting class, which makes this news sting even worse. Cole Bajema is the only other 2019 prospect who has signed his letter of intent for the Wolverines.
Although it’s early in the process for Wilson, it appears his list of potential suitors is starting to take shape.
247Sports revealed that Wilson wants to look at Florida, Kansas, North Carolina and Oklahoma State. He also won’t rule out returning to Michigan.
The programs that really stand out from this list are Kansas and North Carolina. Both programs are known for their success on the hardwood, plus it doesn’t hurt that Bill Self and Roy Williams are outstanding recruiters.
Before Wilson starts thinking about putting on a different uniform, the Wolverines will have to grant his release from his letter of intent.
Stay tuned for more updates on Wilson’s recruitment.
