Everyone Expects 5-Star Center Armando Bacot To Commit To One School Tomorrow

Armando Bacot warms up for a game.

One of the top college basketball recruits in the country—five-star big man Armando Bacot—is set to come off the board tomorrow.

Bacot is a 6-foot-10, 240 pound frontcourt prospect out of Florida sports power IMG Academy.

247Sports ranks him as the No. 26 overall recruit in the class of 2019. He's the No. 7 center, and fifth-ranked player in the Sunshine State.

Bacot announced today that his decision is coming in at 5 p.m. ET on Thursday.

According to various recruiting reporters, Bacot is expected to choose from the finalists list that he put out back in late July. Duke, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, and VCU are all in the running.

Every expert prediction over at 247Sports' "crystal ball" has the same school landing Armando Bacot: North Carolina.

17 recruiting insiders have cast predictions as of this writing. All 17 have him winding up as a Tar Heel.

Earlier today, Duke was on the board with 12-percent of the predictions. Now, it looks like everyone has moved over to UNC.

If he gives his pledge to Roy Williams, he will be the second blue-chip player to do so in 2019. The Tar Heels currently have a commitment from four-star point guard Jeremiah Francis, who made his choice over a year ago.

According to the 247 class calculator, if UNC lands Bacot, the class will jump up from No. 34 in the country all the way up to No. 9.
