DeMatha Catholic product Earl Timberlake is one of the best players in the class of 2020. He’s currently ranked No. 28 overall.
247Sports‘ composite rankings have him sitting at No. 6 among small forwards, and the top recruit in Maryland.
We now have a better sense of what Timberlake may do in his recruitment. The blue-chip wing just narrowed down his list to seven.
Earl Timberlake has seven schools standing out, with ACC power North Carolina headlining the group.
UNC is the only blue blood involved, and it part of a pretty interesting group of schools.
Alabama, Miami, Pitt, Providence, Seton Hall, and South Carolina round out the list.

Timberlake says these are his “final seven” schools, so it doesn’t sound like others really have a chance to get involved here.
There are no 247 crystal ball predictions logged for Timberlake thus far. He took a visit to Providence back in November, and he checked out South Carolina back in June.
So far, Seton Hall leads the way among Timberlake’s options, with two commitments in the 2020 cycle, ranking No. 11 overall in the current composite team rankings. UNC is ranked No. 15 with one pledge. The other five programs have not yet landed a 2020 player as of today.
