UNC-Auburn may not be the ACC-SEC matchup everyone wants to see, but it's still poised to be a terrific matchup in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16. Here's a look at how the two teams stack up:

North Carolina has met very little resistance in the NCAA Tournament so far. A 88-73 win over No. 16 Iona in the First Round was followed by an even more impressive 81-59 win over Washington in the Round of 32. The Tar Heels are favored in this game and remain one of the favorites in the entire tournament.

Auburn has quietly been on a remarkable run for over a month. The Tigers are unbeaten in their last ten games, which includes two wins over Tennessee in both the regular season and the SEC Tournament Final. In the NCAA Tournament, a narrow win over No. 12 New Mexico State was followed up by a 14-point upset win over perennial powerhouse Kansas.

ESPN’s computer model has released its prediction for the game.

ESPN’s computer model believes that UNC has the edge in this game. The computer model gives the Tar Heels a 66.1 percent chance to win their NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 game.

It's been a while since North Carolina lost in the Sweet 16 as the higher seed, and just as long since Auburn was even in it. Both teams are poised to give us a terrific show on Friday.

The game will be played at 6:29 p.m. EST on TBS.
