ESPN's Michael Wilbon Says He'd Rather Have Brice Johnson Than Ben Simmons On His NBA Team

North Carolina senior forward Brice Johnson is having a career day against Providence in tonight's second round matchup. He's also getting some high praise from one of ESPN's most well-known basketball analysts.

Johnson, following up on his incredible game against FGCU, has 21 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks and a steal with just a few minutes left to play in the contest. He's also a ridiculously efficient 7-of-9 from the field.

It's been enough for Michael Wilbon to tell his Twitter followers that he'd rather have Johnson on his NBA team than presumed No. 1 pick Ben Simmons - who played at LSU this year. It's a bold statement, given the hype around Simmons.

Johnson is expected to be drafted mid-to-late in the first round. That is, unless his NCAA Tournament performances vault him up the board.
