Mother Of 4-Star QB Jawon Pass: Louisville Has "Big Advantage" With Brother On Team

Jawon Pass, one of the top uncommitted quarterbacks in the class of 2016, is just days away from making a college decision. Pass is set to announce his commitment on July 16, and with a week away, his mother hinted at one major factor that could affect his decision: his close relationship with his brother Khane Pass, a freshman safety at Louisville. The Courier-Journal caught up with Kershena Thomas to discuss her sons:

"They're connected at the hip and the head," she said with a laugh. "They are extremely close. I thought Jawon was going to need counseling when Khane left (for college)."

"Oh, that's going to play a big part in it," she said. "That's going to be a big factor. The fact that they're so close and Khane is already there, that gives Louisville a big advantage over anyone else. ... Jawon is loving the (U of L) program anyway, (but) that's the big plus for them. Jawon will say that's not the main thing, but I think it is."

Time will tell if that seals the deal for U of L.They are going up against a number of huge programs, including Alabama, Auburn, North Carolina, and Virginia Tech, to land the aptly-named signal caller. In the meantime, let's see how things are going for Pass at The Opening.
