Photo: North Carolina's Field Is Painted For Saturday's "Stripe Out" Game And It Looks Amazing

This may be the most impressive thing you'll see today. The University of North Carolina decided to declare this weekend's game against San Diego State a "stripe out," meaning that fans will wear either a black or a Carolina blue shirt depending on which section they sit in at Kenan Memorial Stadium. While we'll sure that will look fantastic, it'll be hard to look more awesome than the team's field, which was painted for the game.

The school painted the UNC logo at midfield, the words "CAROLINA" and "TAR HEELS" in both end zones, and both ACC logos black and Carolina blue. It even painted the sidelines black, white, and Carolina blue. Check it out:

This is a great idea by the Tar Heels, and it was executed perfectly. We can't wait to see what the stadium looks like when it's filled on Saturday night. The game against the Aztecs is scheduled to kick off at 8:00 P.M. on ESPNEWS and WatchESPN.
