TV Rating For Last Night's UNC-Villanova National Championship Game Released

Monday night's North Carolina-Villanova national championship game was an all-time classic on the court. The Wildcats topped the Tar Heels on an incredible buzzer-beating 3-pointer by Kris Jenkins

Was it an all-timer in its TV rating?

Unsurprisingly, no.

Viewership was expected to drop with the championship game being switched from CBS to TBS and that's what happened. The game drew a 12.0 overnight rating (one of the lowest ever for a title game) when you combine the three networks televising it (TBS, TNT, truTV).

It was, though, the second-most watched college basketball game ever on cable.

Those who chose not to watch the game (and there were a lot of them) missed out on one incredible contest.
