North Carolina just announced some unfortunate news ahead of today’s game against Wofford. Star freshman Cole Anthony is out indefinitely.
Anthony is dealing with an undisclosed right knee injury. The program will evaluate treatment plans over the next couple of days.
Fellow guard Leaky Black is also out this afternoon with a sprained foot and is listed as “game-to-game.”

A five-star prospect and one of the top recruits in the 2019 class, Anthony has delivered on the hype so far this season. He leads UNC with 19.1 points and 3.6 assists per game.
UNC is 6-3 on the season but has dropped three of four after a 5-0 start. All three are “quality” losses though on paper, coming to Michigan, Ohio State and Virginia.
However, if Anthony is out for a prolonged period of time, we might see the Heels accumulate some more L’s in the coming weeks. Hopefully, he’s not dealing with a serious injury.
UNC and Wofford will tip off at 4 p.m. ET on ACC Network.
