UNC Extends Larry Fedora's Contract Through 2022

Looks like UNC is keeping Larry Fedora in Chapel Hill for a while.

North Carolina has officially extended the contract of head football coach Larry Fedora through 2022, it was announced today.

A quick look at Fedora's new pact sees his base salary rise to $600,000 in 2019 and his supplemental compensation land at $2,400,000 by 2020. There are also plenty of incentives.

Here is a breakdown:

The 54-year-old Fedora has been in charge of the Tar Heels since 2012. In his five seasons at UNC, he's compiled a record of 40-25 and captured an ACC Coastal Division championship in 2015.

Fedora has also helped the Heels to four straight bowl games.
