Joel Berry's North Carolina career ended this weekend. It didn't finish how he wanted it to.

Berry scored 21 points, but shot just 2-of-10 from three-point range in UNC's 86-65 loss to Texas A&M. The defending champion Tar Heels didn't make it to the second weekend of this year's NCAA Tournament.

Still, Berry had an illustrious career in Chapel Hill. He scored 1,805 points, dished out 450 assists and grabbed 404 rebounds. He helped UNC reach back-to-back national championship games, winning it all in 2017.

Berry will be forever loved by UNC fans. The feeling is mutual.

Today, Berry posted a heartfelt Instagram post. It summed up his feelings on his alma mater.

"I’m Joel Berry The 2nd, and I will forever be a Tarheel!" he wrote.

Simple, but profound. UNC fans might shed a tear reading this.

Congrats to Berry on an awesome college career.
