According to an official release from the North Carolina basketball Twitter account, senior forward Isaiah Hicks will not play in tonight's rivalry game versus the No. 18 Duke Blue Devils, after suffering a strained hamstring in practice on Wednesday. Hicks is considered day-to-day.
The 6-foot-9, 242-pound forward has been instrumental in the Tar Heels' success the past four years, earning the ACC Sixth Man of the Year award in 2016. He's averaging 12.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game this season.
The game is set to tip off at 8:00 p.m. and you can catch it on ESPN. The Blue Devils are 2-point favorites at home, and have won four of their last five this season. They've won 11 of the last 15 match-ups versus the Tar Heels, who will be the first nationally ranked opponent to visit Duke this season.
