Watch: Twitter Exploded Over This No-Call At The End Of UNC-Arkansas

The officiating at the end of the North Carolina-Arkansas game drew plenty of social media ire.

With less than a minute to play, UNC led Arkansas 66-65. With the ball in his hands and the shot clock running down, UNC point guard Joel Berry drove to the basket.

It appeared that he either a.) traveled, b.) charged or c.) both. Instead, nothing was called, and Tar Heel big man Kennedy Meeks tipped in the miss to increase the lead. UNC ended up winning 72-65.

Here’s the full sequence.

As you might expect. Twitter went berserk in the aftermath of that no-call. There was also a three-pointer attempted by Arkansas on the previous possession that appeared to have been tipped by UNC, but it was ruled out of bounds on the Razorbacks.

Arkansas got hosed on back to back plays. Ball clearly tipped by UNC that wasn't called, then a clear travel and/or offensive foul on #UNC

The block/charge call may be the most difficult call in sports. But doesn't that last UNC play have to be something? Block? Charge? Travel?

— Jon Solomon (@JonSolomonCBS) March 20, 2017

Chris Webber says could have been a block, could have been a charge. What it definitely was was a travel on Carolina. Bad call for Hogs.

— Tim Cowlishaw (@TimCowlishaw) March 20, 2017

More amateurish NCAA reffing. UNC gets a "program" call. Joel Berry charged! No call? Missed shot putback by Heels. Ark robbed by noncall.

— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) March 20, 2017

I don't understand anything about that sequence of officiating

— Dan Wolken (@DanWolken) March 20, 2017

That call did matter and Arkansas lost as a result of it.

— Danny West (@DannyWest1) March 20, 2017

1. There was plenty of evidence that it was a tipped ball.
2. There's a charge or a travel somewhere.
UNC must have subbed in some ACC refs.

— Zachary Roza (@zach_roza) March 20, 2017

Sometimes a prayer is answered and Berry put it up and let Meeks go get it! Gut check for UNC. Incredible. That's either a travel or charge.

— Tim Brando (@TimBrando) March 20, 2017

Going to be hard for those officials to work next week, gotta get their whistles surgically removed from their stomachs #ArkvsUNC

— Doug Gottlieb (@GottliebShow) March 20, 2017

Interestingly, Gottlieb thought something should have been called on Arkansas, not North Carolina.

The foul is on Arkansas on the ball defensively…pushed into the charge. Call the first foul.

— Doug Gottlieb (@GottliebShow) March 20, 2017

However, at least one person thought the officials got it right: Sports Illustrated‘s Seth Davis.

Tough no call there. I thought in live speed it was a charge, not so sure on replay. Gotta love March!
