This weekend of college hoops has just begun but we already have some drama brewing in the ACC between NC State and Pittsburgh.
After falling short against the North Carolina Tar Heels earlier in the week, the Wolfpack are trying to redeem themselves with a victory over the Panthers.
Instead of jumping out to an early lead over Pittsburgh, NC State found itself in an awful situation. Tensions were high entering this matchup, and the bad blood between the two sides was on full display early in this game.
Wyatt Walker of NC State was making headlines for all the wrong reasons in the first half. The senior forward inexplicably tripped Pittsburgh guard Xavier Johnson, which resulted in a flagrant foul and an early trip to the locker room.
There is no question that he deserved to be ejected for his extracurricular activity.
Regardless of what occurred before he made this questionable decision, there is simply no room in sports for these type of actions.
Here is a clip of the dirty play:

Walker’s ejection forced NC State to play the remainder of the game without one of its starting forwards.
The Wolfpack and the Panthers are still battling for the victory right now, as the game is available on the ACC Network.
