Pitt Blog Selling "Joe Knew" T-Shirts For Game Against Penn State

A Pitt blog is fanning the flames of the school's rivalry with Penn State by selling Joe Knew shirts for the Panthers' Sept. 10 game against the Nittany Lions.

This fall, Pittsburgh and Penn State will renew their rivalry when the teams meet for the first time since 2000. Pitt blog The Point 412 has created Joe Knew shirts for the occasion, a clear reference to the Jerry Sandusky scandal.

How much legendary former PSU head coach Joe Paterno did or didn't know about Sandusky's child sex abuse has been a point of contention since the scandal broke five years ago. Whoever wears these shirts leaves no doubt where they fall on the matter.

These might be more in-your-face than the "Ped State" shirts that appeared at Rutgers two years ago.

Our guess? These sell well among Pitt fans and cause some arguments between Panther and Nittany Lion supporters on game day.
