2014 Big East Tournament Bracket, Schedule, Analysis

The 2014 Big East men's basketball tournament is set to begin this upcoming Wednesday, March 12th and conclude on Saturday, March 15th. It will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Here's the bracket, along with the times for each game. You can purchase tickets for the event here.

All nine of the games in the tournament will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1. It's the only tournament of the major seven to have all of its games played on the same network.

Favorite: Creighton

Make no mistake, Villanova was the class of the conference this year and is very much in play for a 1-seed in the NCAA Tournament. But the two times that the Wildcats faced off against Creighton, they got blown out. The Big East Tournament isn't quite as long as it used to be, so the Bluejays and Wildcats each only need to win two games to play for a third time. Creighton gets the nod in the head-to-head.

Sleeper: St. John's

St. John's has won eight of its past 10 games and will be playing the tournament, as always, on its home floor. If the Red Storm can get past Providence in their first game, they'll most likely get Villanova next. St. John's actually played the Wildcats tough in both games this year, so it's very possible that it pulls the upset the third time around.
