Update: We're still 10 months from National Signing Day, but recruiting is as bizarre as it has ever been. 20 minutes after Bleacher Report released an exclusive video with Washington announcing his commitment to Florida, Washington chose Syracuse at his live commitment ceremony.

So, apparently Washington is the newest member of coach Scott Shafer's staff, at least for now. Even in late-April, recruiting is absolutely crazy.

Earlier: Four-star running back Robert Washington has offers from just about every relevant college football program, but today he announced that he will suit up for the Florida Gators. The 2016 product from Huntersville, NC chose Gators the over Alabama, Michigan, North Carolina, Syracuse, and TCU. The announcement was first made in a video on Bleacher Report.

Washington is listed as the No. 8 running back and No. 116 player overall in ESPN's Top 300. this is a big get for head coach Jim McElwain in his first full class.
