The best commitment announcement of college football's early signing period came from Syracuse prospect Cooper Dawson.

Dawson, a three-star defensive end out of Charleston, South Carolina, got the help of a friend to announce his commitment this morning.

"Hanahan’s Cooper Dawson picks Syracuse- but does it by first telling close friend Kingsley Feinman. Kingsley announces the decision- Dawson adds that Kingsley taught him the only disability is a bad attitude," tweeted Scott Eisberg of WCIV.

Cooper Dawson will certainly be a college football player everyone roots for in the years to come.

He's joining a college football program on the rise, too. Syracuse was one of the most-impressive teams in the country this past season and has signed head coach Dino Babers to a longterm extension.
