WR Edward Hendrix, No. 2 Player In D.C., Commits To Syracuse

Syracuse landed one of the top players in Washington, D.C. today: three-star wide receiver Edward Hendrix.

Hendrix is ranked the No. 463 recruit in the country by 247Sports.

The site's composite rankings also have him at No. 83 among receivers and No. 2 in D.C.

ESPN is more bullish on Hendrix, giving him four-stars and naming him the No. 1 player in D.C.

He announced his commitment this afternoon.

Syracuse beat a number of other Power Five programs to land Hendrix. Back in June, the Orange made his top 10 schools, along with Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, North Carolina, Pitt, Temple, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

He also holds offers from Arkansas, Indiana, Michigan State, Mizzou, and others.

With his commitment, Syracuse has 13 commitments. The class is ranked No. 54 in the nation, and No. 12 in the ACC.
