How Much Money The Sweet 16 Coaches Have Made In Bonuses So Far

It's been a good year for the coaches of the Sweet 16 teams, both on the court and in their bank accounts. 

Steve Berkowitz has reported how much money each of the coaches to advance to the regional semifinals have made in bonuses so far this season. Coaches can get bonuses for regular season achievements, NCAA Tournament berths, NCAA Tournament wins, etc.

Here's a breakdown. 

  • Indiana's Tom Crean - $210K
  • Iowa State's Steve Prohm - $100K
  • Kansas' Bill Self - $75K
  • Maryland's Mark Turgeon - $130K
  • North Carolina's Roy Williams - $275K
  • Oklahoma's Lon Kruger - $75K
  • Oregon's Dana Altman - $225K
  • Texas A&M's Billy Kennedy - $725K
  • Virginia's Tony Bennett - $300K

The bonus numbers for Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski, Gonzaga’s Mark Few, Miami’s Jim Larranaga,Notre Dame’s Mike Brey, Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim and Villanova’s Jay Wright are not available via public records requests, as their schools are private institutions.
