Typo, or leak?
NBA.com's David Aldridge wrote an article yesterday about the small forwards of the 2013 class, claiming that Syracuse star C.J. Fair had already declared for the NBA Draft. While many believe Fair will in fact go pro, he hasn't made any decision public, though he is scheduled to have a press conference this week to update the school and fans on his situation.
"For now, since McDermott is still deciding, I'm not putting him on any Board. But if he does, I'm going to start him as a power forward and see how the two months before the Draft shake out. The same goes for Syracuse junior C.J. Fair, who has declared for the Draft."
Of course, Syracuse fans have been tweeting at Aldridge trying to get clarification on whether the declaration was a typo or not. Aldridge has not responded or updated his piece, which either means he's an infrequent tweeter or he's playing dumb - it's tough to tell which.
Fair led the Orange in scoring, rebounding and 3-point FG percentage this year, leading the school to its first Final Four in a decade. Most scouts believe he'd be a second round pick if he were to declare for the NBA Draft this season.
