LSU’s stud sophomore running back Leonard Fournette had a decent day in the Carrier Dome this afternoon. Fournette rushed for a career-high 244 yards and two touchdowns as the No. 8 Tigers outlasted the Orange 34-24.
After the game, Fournette had a chance to meet a guy who was a pretty good running back in his day: former Syracuse star and NFL Hall of Famer Floyd Little.

Fournette was also very complimentary of SU’s running back tradition, which includes Little, Jim Brown, Ernie Davis and Larry Csonka.
Fournette: “Syracuse started Running Back U. It’s a great tradition here, who wouldn’t want to come here just looking up to these guys.”

If Fournette keeps it up, he might have a chance to match or surpass some of the NFL feats that great group of ‘Cuse runners accomplished.
