Photo: Syracuse To Wear "Dress Blues" To Honor Veterans For Clemson Game

Syracuse vs. Clemson is a match-up of two teams that wear orange proudly, but the team known as the Orange will be going with something a bit different on Saturday. To honor Veterans Day, which takes place today, Syracuse will be wearing the all-blue combination of the uniforms that were unveiled in 2014 for the first time. SU calls them the "Dress Blues," a nod to the standard uniform of the U.S. Marines.

The Syracuse program has a close connection to the military, spending a week of each summer camp at Fort Drum, home of the 10th Mountain Division, in Northern New York. The team also wears the 10th Mountain Division patch on its uniforms, and runs out with a flag representing Fort Drum every game.

Syracuse hosts undefeated Clemson at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
