Syracuse Basketball Led Nation In 2014-15 Average Home Attendance, Kentucky Had Highest Total Attendance

2014-15 was a pretty forgettable season for Syracuse men's basketball. The program self-imposed a post-season ban with NCAA violations looming, and finished 18-13, just the third season that Syracuse has finished with fewer than 20 wins under Jim Boeheim. Despite all of that, Orange fans still turned out in a big way this season, edging out Kentucky for the national lead in average attendance. Kentucky, which played 19 home games to Syracuse's 18, led in total attendance.

Syracuse's massive Carrier Dome allows for the occasional game that exceeds 35,000 fans in attendance, while Big Blue Nation is remarkably consistent in selling out Rupp Arena. Both fan bases should be proud of this level of support.
