A.J. Long, a former four-star quarterback recruit according to ESPN, started six games for Syracuse last season as a true freshman, looking promising at times for the Orange. After a rash of injuries, and a third career concussion, Long was medically disqualified by SU. He will attempt to continue his football career elsewhere, however, and announced that intention via Instagram video this evening.
